COVID‐19, ‘dugnad’ and social control in Bergen and beyond

A number of us met in the city of Bergen in Norway in 2018 for the workshop organized by AHN co-founding convener Antonio De LauriAssessing the Anthropology of Humanitarianism: Ethnography, Impact, Critique“. Now Antonio De Lauri and his collegue Kari Telle have written an article in City & Society about experiencing the pandemic in the city and the tranformation of responsibilities towards the members of ones community known as “dugnad”: “COVID‐19, ‘dugnad’ and social control in Bergen and beyond“.
